Its a France and Italy final!

it does smack of hypocritism, switching your support for the team who kicked YOUR team out of the quarterfinals, but i can't help it. Its all due to zizou and henry, and the magic of it all. joga bonito?

imagine this 34 old man running around. he is long past his prime, he should not be here, he should not be running rings around his younger opponents, it is simply out of place. he should not be coming out of retirement to be humilated for his genius, he should not be here to be mocked for his team, this old man with the shaved head, thinking that he still has it in him for one last dance, one last show, one last glory.

everyone is cheering for zizou, even the italian supporters. he is simply too great to ignore, too humble to take credit for stirring the french team.

this sunday, he has to work the magic again, the old man's magic. and maybe he will fail, and the italians will lift the worldcup, and the whole world will cry with Zidane.

the magic of football is so potent, enough to bring back youth to zizou for his last swansong. amazingly, this WC belong to the old men - Figo, Thuram, Cannavaro, Cafu, and Zidane.

I hope the French win it for their magician. Please play the beautiful game, please let Zidane score.
