back from taiwan/hong kong. holiday mode still hasnt slunk off, so im going to borders to splurge on books later.

10 funny things about taiwan:

1. National vegetable: Cabbage.
We had at least one dish containing cabbage every meal. Yeaahah. So much that we could pretty much predict the darn menu.

2.National accent: Who else but the old A-BIAN?
weird tour guide kept on mimicking him on the bus. hilarious. and raising our right hands (in support) while he was nasalling away a-bian style on the microphone.

3. National treasure: Lingzhi.
the stuff of propanganda. anyway, its supposedly to be the one and only type of special lingzhi which is native to taiwan.

4. National trash: Smelly tofu.
YEUURK.

5. National pride: 101
Eh, the tallest building in the world by one storey. Hohum.

6. National pastime: KTV/Karaoke.
Well, you get seranaded by the tour guide and its the place where KTV lounges are as common as cabbage. o.0 no prizes for guessing.

7. National dress: LOLX. suan1 la4 mei4.
No, its not the hill tribe costume, but the country side where women go to work in their lingerie. Dunno why guide was so interested in pointing them out.

8. National transport: Tour bus
Well, you kind of see them everywhere. Public transport in taiwan is shaky at most.

9. National monuments: TEMPLES.
Here you have another item as common as KTV and cabbages. Its quite alright when they are a few streets appart and not next door. qian bian look.

10. National irritants: Da lu ren, also known as the Mainland Chinese. They act like pushy loudspeakers. -.-'''

Ahwell. Stopoever at HK for two days only. Sadness. Went to Ocean Park and HK Disneyland. whoops.

Had netball carnival yesterday. Totally out of form. makes face. Better get fitter soon.
